Spencer Speed is a dedicated trial attorney who focuses his practice on achieving justice for individuals who have been injured by defective products and negligent healthcare providers. His litigation experience includes representing individuals and families who have been injured by defective medical devices and medical malpractice, including birth injures, nursing home abuse, misdiagnosis, surgical and anesthesia errors, and wrongful death cases, among others. Mr. Speed also handles complex personal injury cases, including industrial fires, car/trucking accidents, and dog bites cases. Mr. Speed is driven to achieve justice for his clients and will do whatever it takes to hold large companies and healthcare providers liable for their products and practices.
Mr. Speed grew up in Dallas, Texas, and received his bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of North Texas and his law degree from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Speed was a member of the College’s nationally recognized elite trial advocacy program, earning numerous awards in courtroom competitions, including the Best Attorney Advocate Award at the American Association for Justice Trial Competition. After graduating from law school, Mr. Speed was asked to join South Texas College of Law as a mock trial coach and adjunct professor, and currently coaches mock trial advocacy teams competing in national tournaments across the Country.
Mr. Speed started working at Houssiere, Durant & Houssiere in 2017 as a student associate while in his final year of law school. He joined the firm full-time upon earning his law degree in 2018.
In his spare time, Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, golfing and running. Spencer’s greatest joy is fighting zealously for his clients to obtain favorable results in their case.
