The Johnson & Johnson subsidiary DePuy Synthes’ ATTUNE® Knee System was marketed to provide better range of motion and stability and was sold 2011 to present. The Journal of Knee Surgery has recently reported an “unusually high” rate of early failure relating to the tibial component.

Many doctors and patients have experienced problems with this device that requires replacement and the FDA has received numerous reports of tibial component loosening.

Here are some of the complaints:

  • Severe pain
  • Decreased range of motion within 2 years after surgery
  • Instability when moving or putting weight on the knee
  • Implant loosening, specifically to the tibial component
  • Tibial subsidence (implant sinks into softer bone tissue)
  • Change in the position of the components

The attorneys at the Houssiere, Durant Houssiere, LLP has successfully helped many victims of knee implants recover compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering and other losses.
